In her practice, Root to Rise Somatics, she primarily helps mixed race adults and interracial couples build relationships where they feel emotionally connected. Outside of clinical work, Raina hosts a free monthly mindfulness-based event where mixed people can connect, and she provides embodiment-based workshops and trainings for companies invested in emotional intelligence and social justice.

I am a certified clinical supervisor and consultant. I graduated with MSW from The University of Chicago in 2017.

    Through one-on-one coaching, consulting, and training, Maddy is focused on supporting leaders who are engaged in systems change work to utilize an equity-grounded, results-focused approach to improving the lives of people furthest from opportunity. In 2010, Maddy co-founded the University of Washington Champions Program, from 2012-2018 she directed the Fostering Success Michigan statewide initiative at Western Michigan University and since 2018 has served as a consultant to nonprofit organizations, philanthropy, and state agencies focused on improving the lives of young adults who have experience in foster care, homelessness, and those who are first generation, low-income college students, and students of color. In 2021 Maddy established her consulting firm, Maddy Day LLC & Associates, where she works with a dynamic group of practitioners dedicated to creating equitable outcomes for communities across the country. Maddy is a Results Count Advanced Practitioner, an Associate Diversity Coach through Coach Diversity Institute.
